Winter comes with christmas sweaters, festive drinks in Starbucks, colourful decorations and … dry skin. One of the most common problems that we face when the cold winds blow harder and the temperatue drops, dry skin leads not only to unpleasant feeling but to difficulties in applying makeup (especially powder and foundation). Having recently moved to Dublin, the city where there are three types of weather: 1)wind, 2)rain, 3) wind with rain, I have purchased a few items to keep my skin looking good. As I am a huge fan of Laura Mercier foundations, I was confident that investing in the skin care line would be a wise choice.
Face Polish – Flawless Skin
This face scrub is one of the best I have tried so far. I use it 2-3 tymes a week when I want to deep-clean my skin and polish the face before an important date. It exfoliates really well and I think it can be too strong to use it every single day (ate least for my skin type). Plus, it has an amazing scent to it which makes using this scrub as a mini spa.
Infusion de Rose Nourishing Oil – Flawless Skin
I have always avoided using oil on my face as I think that oils absorb worse than the creams and I have finally gave it a try. This oil is now my must-have as it balances the skin (the dry and the oily areas) and does not leave the skin greasy. It also has a very delicate rose scent and you need just a few drops to cover the whole face. The best way for me to use this oil is to apply it before sleep to wake up with hydrated skin.
